I want to jump on my computer with my Sony Cybershot camera. Is it possible to do this? (If this does not make sense, I want it to be something like a webcam)

Yes. Check you have your manual for instructions depending on the type of computer (Mac / PC). You may not be able to live broadcast as a webcam, but you should be able to record video using the Sony software.
