In today’s economy, what’s the best thing a phone company can do? Come up with a budget phone with enough features to not make it appear like something that came out from the late 1990s of course. The C510 appears to target that market, with that same, if-it’s-not-broken-why-fix-it user interface that’s been around since 2005, but paired with a FaceBook application and a CyberShot brand for its camera.

@Jajabing08 This phone is still pretty new, it was released in Feb 2009. There are some better models in the cyber-shot range (the C903 and C905) but they are all different phones.. so it’s not exactly outdated.

Hello my friends, when was this phone first came out in the market? I bought one last week after your introdution, but my friend told me this phone was the old model, is that true?? There is another model the camera is having a higher resolution, approx. 5M pixels.

Yes we are! Unfortunately, as a result, we don’t know anything about unlocking phones since phones aren’t locked in Singapore in the first place, so we have no experience in doing that since we’ve never done it before.

You guys must be either Singaporean or Malaysian?? Can you tell me how to unlock this particular model?? Thank you.

    Good Review:)

    I might get this phonee

  8. 65bits says:

Nope, it doesn’t, but since you’re using the internet to get to facebook, you need to pay for the usual internet charges on your phone. So check with your service provider on that.

Does it cost to use the facebook thing?

  10. 65bits says:

That feature is only available if you bought a Sony Ericsson C510, and is available on the home screen by default.

I have a Nokia N79. I bought it because of all the specifications it has but now I see I just need a good phone for music. Nokia N79 is excellent but it has an umcomfortable keyboard and it’s too thick. I loved the red version of the C510

It’s pretty good for MP3 although its a cybershot phone. But you might want to consider getting better set of earphones if you are into your music.

It has a youtube player inside. Works like most mobile youtube player.
