It sounds like they're about to go up but they don't go anywhere and all you hear is the hydraulic motor. I'd like to find out why they do that. It is to keep it level at whichever floor it's on. Since it's hydraulic, that means there is pressure to lose. If that pressure is lost, the elevator will go down below the level.
