I can’t decide between this and the Flip UltraHD camcorder.

I don’t know about the Fujifilm and Casio but the W220 uses battery quickly only when you use it a lot (like I do). I carry 3 batteries and 10 GB of memory whereever I go. It all fits in the case I bought for $10. It’s a great camera and a steal for the price. Don’t forget, you get what you pay for, and I think SONY is the best brand out there. Hope that helps ;]

This camera takes excellent video at night. I am just a little worried about the battery life. I am also wondering if you can zoom, while filming. I am torn between this camera, the FujiFilm Finepix J38 and the Casio Exilim EX-S5. The J38 concerns me because you cannot zoom, while filming. The Exilim concerns me because I don’t know much about it, though I heard it is a good camera. Plus, I love the movie mode. The Sony is the most expensive at $159.00 at Wal-Mart. The others are $40 cheaper.

That’s 22 mins filming, how long does the camera last if i’m taking pictures?
So it’s just what you get through the lense? My phone has like 12 types of viewing. Not even black and white?

  7. jeffsomer says:

    1) No 2) Fine, Standard, CRAP 3) 2-4 Hours 4) Excellent 5) No 6) No – Hope that helps. Happy Birthday ;]

Is there a better battery that I can get that will last longer than 22 mins?
What are the quality options on the camera? (I phrased that poorly, sorry)
How long does it take to recharge?
    How good is the microphone?
Are there a good number of camera options like infrared and such?
Have you seen any for the same sort of price that you think are better?

  9. jeffsomer says:

    sure

  10. GarethandSarah says:

I was just wondering if you wouldn’t mind answering a few questions about the camera, I’m looking at getting it for my birthday.

  11. jeffsomer says:

I recommend the camera. The battery doesn’t last long when the settings are on high quality so keep at least 1 extra battery on you

  12. claramille11 says:

Is the battery good ? And would you recommend this camera ?

  13. jeffsomer says:

25 minutes of straight recording on a 4GB card but the battery will die about 22 minutes in

  14. jeffsomer says:

    Nope, sorry

  15. iwantu4ever63 says:

    can u zoom while recording?

  16. uknownman says:

How long can the video record continuously without additional memory? How about with the 4GB memory stick? Does the length of video you can record shorten if you take it in multiple clips instead of 1 long video?

  17. arvidwang says:

Very cool. 4GB memory stick seems to be the way to go. I am anxious to find out the video quality of this camera.

  18. jeffsomer says:

I made this video in Movie Maker so I compressed the video to whatever Youtube takes. Also, I only record in fine, as it’s the best quality the camera offers. Get a 4GB card, it’s enough to take hundreds of pics and lots of video. I saw it at Best Buy the other day for $40. Lastly, if you use the camera as much as I do, you should get 1 or 2 extra batteries. SONY sells them for $50 apiece, but I got 2 on eBay for $35

  19. arvidwang says:

Nice video. May I ask how large is this 10 min video size? Did you choose 640 fine for this one? What size of the memory card would you recommend? Thanks.

  20. jeffsomer says:

    yeah it is

  21. jeffsomer says:

    get it, it’s awesome

  22. jeffsomer says:

A combo of Youtube and Movie Maker, the video from the camera to the computer is crystal clear, it’s almost an art form

  23. jeffsomer says:
