well the option to turn the flash on or off should be on the right side of the screen where theres like a lightning bolt, u probably have it where the lightning bolt is crossed off, touch it again and just select it again and it will give u options
Dude help, I seem to have a problem with my camera.
Could you tell me how to activate the flash? I cant seem to find the option to turn the flash on or off.
At the minute I have no flash at all!!

where did you buy it? I bought mine in Japan but is there a way to change the language from Japanese to English?

yea there are different effects that you can do
but there is no effect that gives you the negative

theres nothing wrong with the camera dont worry
ok so if u see that little green light on the bottom that means that your just focusing you havent fully activated it
you what you do is you just push down harder on the botton that takes the picture and it should work
once u press it hard enough this thing should pop up and say PRESS SHUTTER BUTTON AGAIN TO EXIT once you see this then that means that its activated and you can now smile and it will take a pic

I need help! My smile shutter isn’t working..I select it and it says 40 f3.5 with a green light flashing at the bottom..when I smile it doesnt take the photo or do it have the lil box..Oh and it shows [:)] 0 at the top…can you help me please..I just got it yesterday!

oh if u get the lens dirty then i would just use a tissue or something to clean it
hi i was just wondering.. if you get your lens dirty or foggy or dusty . . . how do you clean it? dose sony give you a cloth or do you have to use just a cloth for your glasses or something? thanks i just want to know because i am getting this camera in a coupe of days for my birthday on sat
you might have to get a light for nighttime pics or change the flash try that and see how it goes.
Yeah I angree, tried to take a picture of my friends at night. I was standing around 3 meters from them. The picture sucked.
yea it does bug me a lot too especially when i went to vegas but cant really take the pics at night time when everything comes to life with the lights and people

yes i agree with you the picture quality sucks for this camera in the dark
i have no tips to give but maybe you can increase the ISO but that doesnt seem to work for me either
i like everything about this camera excepts that it really takes crappy pictures in the dark
