I picked up a C510a today from rogers. I gotta admit it’s one of the better phones I’ve had.

I have no idea, but you could probably go on the UK Amazon and look it up.

Usually on Sony Ericsson phones the final letter indicates the region it is intended for. “A” for America. They will use “i” for international, “c” for China, etc.

  7. JerryRSun says:

Yes, this phone is 3G, and so is AT&T’s service. It will also work in most parts of the world because 3G is the most popular.

  8. JerryRSun says:

The back is easy to take off once you figure out where to push the first time.

  9. IusePodZ says:

Its so hard to open the back.

I have at&t service but i was wondering if i order this phone online, would it work with my at&t sim card and service? Or would i have to get the phone unlocked for it to work?

De debranding service is a service that resets your phone to the default state that Sony Ericsson would give it to you in, removing all of the specialized Rogers branding and graphics on it, which your icons are a part of.

Usually you send your phone in and they will do it, or you can sometimes buy a cable and they will do it for you over the internet through the cable. It depends on what service you pick.

  15. JerryRSun says:

Wow, $4 per theme? You should be able to get free ones online and put it on your phone with the cable that comes with it. Sony Ericsson also provides software for you to make your own themes, which I have made before, but takes some design skills. You might just want to try a debranding / unlocking service. That way, you can sell your phone after you eventually upgrade, which is even better.

  16. DannydXL says:

Btw what is a debranding service? i have an idea but just to make sure.

  17. DannydXL says:

ok ive wasted $4 to download a theme and still the icons remain the same. the default themes are supposed to change icons because ive seen it in videos. so i guess Rogers decided to screww my phone up real nice. my phones got a rogers logo at the front bottom instead of the cyber-shot. I believe i should be able to return the phone because of this but im already on a 3 year contract with them . i really like this phone but this theme is completely unbarable. thx uploader for responding

My phone’s menu icons change along with themes. You should download more themes to determine whether they just made all the default themes have the same icons, or they botched the icons to never change along with themes. If the latter is true, you might want to send your phone to a debranding service.

  19. DannydXL says:

hey my main menu has red icons from rogers and when i try to change the theme, the menu icons remain the same color and the rest of the theme changes ( the background and menus). i find this really dumb as the phone is blue and black and i have red icons on the interface? any1 else have the same problem if so plz respond
