Whether you are out partying or frolicking on the beach, compact digital cameras are the way to go. Presenting the winners of the CNET Asia 2007 Readers’ Choice for Best Ultracompact/Compact digital camera.
Whether you are just starting to build your professional career in photography or almost a pro, you surely would want the best prosumer digital cameras to capture your subjects. These types of cameras allow users to play around with its settings, producing right kind of picture that you want. Presenting the winners of the CNET Asia 2007 Readers’ Choice for Best Prosumer Camera.
If you are a pro, you want nothing but the best equipment to expand your portfolio. If you are re turning pro and want to know the best gadgets around, here are what CNET readers are raving about. Quite expensive, but they sure are worth their price. Presenting the winners of the CNET Asia 2007 Readers’ Choice for Best Digital SLR camera.
Although there are a lot of newer, higher model digital SLR cameras out in the market today, I still love my Nikon D40X. It is simply a handy SLR camera loaded with outstanding features that are easy to manage. Apart from its precision photography, Nikon D40X, is also sleek and stylish. I just love being seen with it. The smoothness of its contours makes for an easy grip. The buttons are well placed for easy access. No accidents there. It is perfect with the 35-105 mm lens that comes with the standard kit or with a longer lens sold separately. Like I said it is precision photography at its best.
If you love traveling like me, you would agree that a camera is an important traveling companion. It is your aid to capturing the most memorable moments of your trip. But I’m pretty sure you would not want to carry bulky equipment all day everyday during your trip. Thank goodness for Nikon Coolpix S510. This camera is arguably the smallest one in the market today. It easily fits into your pocket. It is light, flat and easy to carry. Don’t let its small frame fool you because this camera is highly efficient with its 8.1 megapixel capability, capturing those wonderful moments in a trip has never been more easy.
The Nikon brand has always been a symbol of reliability and precision photography. It is a frontrunner among camera brands. Its top designs and trendsetting technology make both professionals and eager amateurs happy. The Coolpix S510, a new offering of Nikon for its point-and-shoot digital camera line, is another reason to be happy with the brand. It is small enough to fit into your pocket and yet strong enough to capture those exciting moments. It comes in new exciting colors that make it even more a perfect little camera that anyone will enjoy.
The Sony Cybersot DSC-T2 comes in five new exciting and vibrant colors that surely attract attention. This new 8.1 Megapixel camera from Sony comes in black, white, blue, green and pink. Definitely this digital camera is the hottest fashionable gadget around.
Do not be fooled by the funky design though because this candy colored Cybershot is as lethal in taking great pictures. This is to be expected from the Sony brand. It has a huge 2.7″ LCD monitor that allows for better focusing. It also has great storage space of 4GB memory. Taking pictures has never been more fun and fashionable.

As a photographer I understand why its so important to have all the right equipment such as lenses, tripods, and camera cases but one of the most important parts is the actual camera itself. If you don’t buy the right camera like an SLR and instead you buy a compact like a Sony DSC you can almost expect your pictures to not turn out right. There’s a big difference between compact cameras, SLRs, and larger cams like the Hasselblad!
Compacts are designed to be small, light weight and portable. These are usually the most inexpensive and smallest of all the cameras. Compact cameras are a good idea for people that are willing to sacrifice things such as advanced features, advanced lenses, and quality. Small format is good for an amateur that is just getting into photography but isn’t willing to spend a bundle on it. Medium format cameras are good for professionals or people wanting to do photography professionally.
Medium formats come very close to large formats, and are a good way to test out the waters. And lastly large format cameras are fit for a king. Not only are they larger in size compared to the other three, but they are large in price as well. You can find large format cameras for as expensive as $5,000 or more depending on the brand you’re looking at. These cameras are obviously fit for professional photographers and a lot of people in the fashion industry use these!
You can start out at any level you please, but make sure if you buy a camera that is $5,000 that you know you’re going to use it, you are going to know how to use it, and you’re going to really get your money out of using it! I took the middle road and bought a medium format camera because I knew I wanted to be a professional photographer eventually and I wanted a really good camera that was going to stand up to the places I would be traveling and doing. Here are a few examples of each level along with some popular brands you might find:
Compacts -
Olympus Stylus 760
Samsung Digimax S1000
Canon PowerShot SD950
Small & Medium Format -
Pentax K110D
Olympus SP510 UZ
Canon Powershot SX110
Large -
Calumet 45NXII
Sinar F 4×5 View Camera
Hasselblad H3D II-39MS Digital Camera
I mean all these cameras are great but again, if you are starting at a certain level be sure to look at the cameras available within that level. There’s no sense in buying a large format camera if you have never even touched a camera before, do you really think you are going to know what each function does? What each button does? What aperture is and what hot shoe means? Probably not! When I bought my camera it cost around $400 and I had never touched a camera before, besides a regular little compact camera.
I did it backwards but was determined enough to figure the darn thing out on my own without help or instructions. But like with anything else in life just because “they” say you can’t be self-taught (photography, writing, acting, cooking) doesn’t mean they are always right! But in most cases I really would suggest working your way from level 1 to level 2 and then to 3. It gives you an easier understand about what everything is for!

If you are not a professional photographer, or if you are not taking up photography as a hobby, you do not have to get a really expensive digital camera if your only purpose for it is to capture the great moments in your life. The digital camera you would need would be something that you can whip out when something nice happens at home. It would also be something that you can easily bring along to special events and to your travels. You can find such a digital camera to suit your needs for under $300. The five best digital cameras that you can get for under $300 are listed below.Canon PowerShot A720 IS. Many experts in digital cameras have opined that the Canon PowerShot series is the best line available in the market today. It is therefore not surprising that it has cornered a good portion of the market. What makes this particular digital camera so special? For one, it has 8.0 megapixels and its lenses have a 6x zoom. It also boasts of an increased usability that makes it easy for the person using it to control the pictures he or she is taking. Nikon Coolpix P50. his digital camera poses itself to be a middle-ground camera. As it is, it is a good startup camera for anyone who wishes to learn serious photography, but it is wieldy enough to serve ordinary point-and-shoot picture-taking purposes. This Nikon digital camera model has 8.1 megapixels, and it also has a 3.6x zoom with a wide angle.Canon SD1100 IS. Another digital camera coming out of Canon’s production line, this model introduces a couple of new features that were not yet seen in other digital cameras, be it from Canon or from any other brand. These features in particular are face detection and motion detection. Both are aimed at preventing picture blurringSony CyberShot DSC H10. This digital camera is designed for photographers on a tight budget – great for heavy-duty shooting and yet going for a mere price of less than $300. It has 8.1 million effective pixels and is fitted with a 10x optical zoom manufactured by Carl Zeiss. Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5. This model from the Panasonic digital camera lineup is dubbed as a “Travel Zoom” camera. It has a powerful zoom lens – a 10x optical zoom – and yet the gadget itself is quite slim and handy. It boasts of 10.7 million pixels, a high-resolution 3.0 LCD screen, and the ability to make movies with a resolution of up to 1280 x 720 pixels. Other than that, it has 22 shooting modes and a built-in clipboard. These are the five best digital cameras that people with $300 to spare can buy. Take your pick.

It is that time of year again when we are all searching for the ideal present. With such a wide range of products on the market it is easy to see why it takes many people so long to choose which present they are going to buy.

One product, however, always seems to be on many peoples list; digital cameras. Many of us like to buy digital cameras so we can take pictures of the festive period and the fun and frolics we may get up to. They are a great Christmas present to give to a loved one, or even if you feel you deserve a treat after a long year.

Choosing the right camera can be hard though as there are a wide range of options varying in price and quality. It all depends on what you plan on using the camera for, if it is for taking a few photos of the family and friends then a mid-range 7-8 megapixel camera would suffice. A Sony digital camera would be a good choice here, for example, the Cyber-shot DSC-T700 has 10.1 megapixels, touchscreen LCD and is lightweight.

There is a range of cameras ideal for casual use; however, if you are looking for something more professional then you must to be prepared to pay a little more. The quality of these types of cameras is considerably higher and you often receive some extras as part of the deal.

If you are looking for a professional camera then a Canon digital camera is a good option. The Canon Rebel XSi is a fantastic 12.2 megapixel camera with great image quality and reasonably priced, this camera is definitely worth thinking about getting as a Christmas present.

If you are one of many who like to capture those precious Christmas moments then a digital camera is certainly for you. With a variety of cameras at competitive prices get online and compare the leading brands to find the best deals around.

To find the best digital cameras search online. A Panasonic digital camera has plenty to offer, consider your options and find the best brands such as a Sony digital camera

.

PowerShot A95 Digital Camera (5.0MP, 2592×1944, 3x Opt, 32MB CompactFlash Card) Strengths: High quality 5MP pictures, Camera feels great in hand, swivel LCD screen, best bang for the buck camera. Weaknesses: Included 32MB CF card is too small. Summary: This camera is awesome. I upgraded from a Canon A70 and it was well worth the money. The Canon A95 uses 4 AA bateries, but it eats through normal alkalines way too fast. I highly recommend getting rechargeable NiMH AA batteries and a quick charger. The swivel screen is a major plus, it’s 1.8″ compared to 1.5″ from the Canon A70. The screen is also higher resolution than the A70.I have used the camera for 3 weeks and printed about 50 pics so far. The pics look great and I even cropped to zoom in on some pictures and you couldn’t see any sign of pixelation. I love the manual flexibility with this camera, plus the automatic modes make it easy for anyone to use.The camera has a nice solid feel to it and fits well in the hand. I prefer the Canon A95’s size rather than the ultra compact cameras like Sony’s T1 because you can easily hold the camera in one hand and take pics. But if you have an ultra compact camera, you have to hold it awkward and it my easily fall from your hand.I highly recommend this camera to anyone looking into getting a 5MP camera that’s affordable, flexible, and normal size.

further info, visit; http://www.petrousdigitalcameraprices.blogspot.com

Cyber-shot DSC-W1 Silver Digital Camera (5.1MP, 2592×1944, 3x Opt, 32MB Memory Stick)

Strengths: Size, LCD, AA batteries, movie mode and black & white modes are GREAT – use ‘em all the time. Weaknesses: Flash is weak, zoom inadequate at times. Summary: I spent a LOT of time investigating digital cameras online -one would think I was buying a car or something. Anyway I am a novice camera user and remain very impressed with this little guy. I would certainly recommend it. The movie mode is great for ‘vignettes’ or small movie snapshots. I also use the black and white a lot. I also didn’t think the LCD would matter very much, but it does: I never use the viewfinder. I appreciate the large size of the LCD when passing the camera around to friends to view pictures and movies.Hint #1: Immediately jack up the megapixel resolution to 5 so that you can capture moments in the best resolution possible. Then, bypass Sony’s ridiculous profit margins- for memory cards buy SanDisk instead. The 512 MB is fantastic – you will get a lot of memory space. I saved $75.00 this way – $150 vs. $225. The 32 MB is inadequate for daily usage. I use it as ‘emergency’ memory when my 512 has filled up on me and I need an extra pinch of memory to get me through the moment.Hint #2: Do NOT buy the Sony camera case. They charge a ridiculous price for a shoddy version. Go for a Lowepro – I paid ten dollars and it is very sturdy – also has a nice inside pocket to keep memory cards.Hint #3: Buy a separate set of rechargeable batteries you can swap on the go. The AA battery format is a huge plus.Picture clarity is great for the size and price of the camera. The camera and case are small enough that I WILL take it anywhere, and have. In other words, it is a convenient model.I did find that for indoors the flash was inadequate at a distance. The zoom could also have been 4x or 5x.All in all I am quite happy with this model – but stay away from buying Sony brand ‘peripherals’ unless you like spending money. This camera fulfills my needs. The only reason it does not get five stars for the above drawbacks. Otherwise, a great job by Sony and their third-party peripheral competitors!

further info visit; http://www.petrousdigitalcameraprices.blogspot.com

FinePix E550 Digital Camera (6.3MP, 4048×3040, 4x Opt, 16MB xD-Picture Card)

Strengths: Well priced, 6+mp, all features including raw image Weaknesses: This camera uses 2 AA cells in a hurry Summary: As a professional digital camera lecturer, I must admit that the Fuji E-550 was a very pleasant surprise for me. Priced at about $340, this digital camera produced digital photos that were much sharper, more detailed, and more excellent than I, frankly expected.I found the digital camera very easy to use right out of the box. While this digital camera does have a 12mp interpolated image size available, I found the 6mp native image size to have more contrast, detail and resolution. As you might expect in a consumer digital camera, the digital camera’s flash is not very powerful. At 200 ISO it will produce excellent exposures out to 13 feet. By adding a supplementary slave flash such as the Sony HVL-FSL1B and a bit of flash compensation, I was able to extend the effective flash range out to 25 feet, making the Fuji E-550 useful for indoor photos of large groups. The Fuji E-550 does an equally amazing job with macro or close-up digital photos. It will focus quite close making it very effective for photos of small items and jewelery that might be photographed for sale on auction sites such as www.ebay.com.The strongest suit for the Fuji E-550 is it ability to record a great deal of detail with extreme sharpness and clarity while being handheld. The Fuji E-550 is also very capable of taking excellent night photos when it is placed on a tripod. All in all, I was extremely impressed with the Fuji E-550. I received a lot more digital camera than I expected for the samll price of $340. For those who like to use the raw image format, you will understand that you can essentially re-take the digital photo all over again right in your computer. This is a huge advantage.Of course, being a Fuji digital camera, the Fuji E-550 uses the somewhat more expensive XD electronic data chips. However, the Fuji E-550 is very speedy. From power on to being ready to take the first digital photo takes 1.4 seconds. This digital camera is equally as fast in writing your digital photo to the XD chip. The newer Fuji digital cameras are marketed to compete dollar for dollar with the Kodak line of digital cameras. Therefore, they tend to be very competitive with Kodak and offer in most cases, a lot more features. There is available for the Fuji E-550 an adaptor as well as both a wide angle and a telephoto (1.9X) supplementary lens. The supplementary lenses are very fairly priced and readily available through Fuji’s own website. This is a pleasant contrast to the accessories offered by Sony, through their own website, whose wide angle and telephoto supplementary lenses are unreasonably high in price.

Conclusion: The Fuji E-550 is a top quality digital camera. It more capable than most might expect. In addition, it is quite small and pocket sized, extending its appeal to many more digital camera users. It is worthy of your attention. The digital photos produced by this digital camera are amazing and compare most favorably with much more expensive consumer digital cameras. I would happily purchase this camera again.I will be very confident in introducing the Fuji E-550 to the attendees of my workshops all over the world. It is a digital camera that I can point to with a lot of pride, simply because it gives the digital camera user many features and excellent digital photos for a very resonable price.

further info please visit; http://www.petrousdigitalcameraprices.blogspot.com

A new flag-ship was introduced by way of W-series point and shoot camera way back in Feb 2004. This concept of digital camera retains the traditional element of optical view finder and conglomerates this with most modern assets of 2.5â? LCD Screen and 1/1.8â?, 8-Megapixel imaging sensor. W-series install Carl-Zeiss 3x optical zoom lens in front of the body that configures the shooting object by slimming it down to a portable size while keeping pace with tradition. This led to invention of Cyber-shot Camera and making Sony as the world leaders. Another feature added to the innovation was a redesigned compact body with automation in technology. All you thought was of a camera compact in size but the technology of merging traditional features with modern innovations led to a powerful invention in a very compact art-piece. One canâ??t rate these cameras as they are simply the best, the pioneers of technology. In fact many other companies who are only camera manufacturers cannot deliver such quality as found in Sony Cyber shots. The credit goes partly to Carl Zeiss lens and partly to the pioneers themselves, who have an in-built research team to make them the best. The w-series consists of a number of products all based on the optical zoom, digital zoom LCD Screen and picture definition factor of Mega pixel. These products are varying in their nature due to the user requirement. This is another feature to make Sony Cyber shot the pioneers in technology. While some customers prefer cameras with fine picture quality irrespective of the distance, other customer prefer zoom feature over Mega pixel. To balance the demand and supply curves manufacturer use different permutations and combinations to cater to the wide and varying requirements of the end user. Some of the products of this pioneer of technology include Sony Cyber shot DSC â?? W80, ultra-slim point and shoot, high zoom and compact point and shoot cameras, to suit the customer requirement. These cameras are available at www.homeshop18.com for getting to know all the features and buy them at competitive rates.

Mitsuba Digital Cameras

With the demand for digital products increasing steadily. More and more companies are now venturing into the digital market. Top Year Int’l Inc is the producer of Mitsuba Digital Cameras.

Top Year International was first established in the year 1989. Back then, the company first began as a producer of traditional 35 millimeter cameras. But because of the boom and the increasing demand for digital camera products, the company has expanded and is now producing high quality digital cameras and digital camcorders. These cameras range from general quality promotional giveaways to high definition digital cameras and camcorders.

The factory has produced cameras such as DV, DSC, automatic and manual films cameras to serve every customer’s needs. The factory aims to provide outstanding, first-class quality products and great customer service at a very reasonable price.

Since its creation in the 1990’s, Queen Lines has now expanded to a stable and healthy company. It now boasts 1, 300 employees, 18 production lines, 2 spray painting lines, 18 printing facilities and 40 plastic injection molding machines. All of which are imported from different countries. It also boasts that all of their products are made of top quality imported materials. Unsurprising then that over the years, Mitsuba Digital cameras have been enjoying the growing support of global clients.

The company is slowly becoming a major player and manufacturer of both manual and automatic cameras. Since the year 2000, it has been developing still digital cameras and digital video camcorders that offer options to consumers. These cameras are of high quality, produce great pictures and are very much reasonably priced.

Equipped with a 4.1 mega pixel chip that can render sharp images, Mitsuba digital cameras are very innovative and are intuitively made for the modern consumer who is always on the run. The camera is compact and lightweight, and it comes in a waterproof case. Mitsuba digital cameras come with a number of accessories. It supports AVI file formats and allows long distance focusing, so you can take picture perfect ling shots. Its 16 Mb internal memory allows you to record pictures, sounds or videos. The LCD viewfinder is a little narrow, being only 1.5 inches wide. But since it is built on a swivel, you can easily take or vie pictures at various angles. The camera looks good too. It is sleek and has a silver metallic, glossy finish.

Editor: Afina

Article source:

http://www.articlesbase.com/small-business-articles/mitsuba-digital-cameras-617892.html
